Scrap is the hidden cost of every foundry: each defective casting has consumed metal, energy, sand, cores and labour. Without reliable data on causes, it is hard to tell whether the problem starts in moulding, melting or the core shop.
The Fond/Wise quality module records inspections and results along the process, classifies scrap by cause and department, and produces the certificates customers require from data already in the system.

Scrap cause analysis
Charts and percentages by defect cause (gas porosity, inclusions, cracks, dimensional errors…), part, department and period.
Non-conformities and corrective actions
Internal non-conformities, customer and supplier complaints, with actions and effectiveness checks.
Automatic certificates
Certificates with chemical analyses (imported from the spectrometer), hardness and heat treatment, issued per batch or per job, for example to EN 10204.

Can spectrometer analyses be imported automatically?
Yes. Fond/Wise automatically imports chemical analyses from the spectrometer and links them to alloy, heat and certificate.
